A LITTLE ABOUT ME...
HEY!
I'm Betsy. Thanks for visiting my site! Hopefully it will get better as time goes by:) i'm teaching myself web design and understanding why web designers get paid good money:)
I'm 31, and have 2 pugs, Harley and Anya. We live on my family's farm in east tennessee, and are planning on building a log cabin on his farm in the (hopefully) near future.
Nine to five, i am a curtainwall technician for Enclos Corp., designing curtainwall(glass enclosures) for skyscrapers and other buildings across the country. I graduated(finally) from Northeast State's drafting and design program in may of 2008.
After 5 and on the weekends, i can be found hangin out with my family, the flea market or in the back yard with my dogs.
I LOVE bluegrass....i first discovered hooping at a bluegrass festival and was intrigued, but didn't pursue it until i saw firedancers using hula hoops later on. That was the turning point... i came home and decided i had to learn to hoop(without the fire first).
I made a few hoops and shared with my mom and my sis. the first several hoops were a little rough, but they worked and i could hoop(so could mom and sis). We had a ball with them, and it kinda snowballed from there:) everybody wanted one, so i started troubleshooting...now my hoops have evolved, they are pretty and work great! i still haven't advanced to fire-hooping... baby steps for now! but one day you'll come back to my site and see videos posted of Betsy the fire-dancer:)
ok...back to reality:)
now i take my hoops to flea markets a trade/craft shows and really anywhere else where there seems to be an interest. Everyone always says.."oh i used to hula hoop when i was little", then they pick one up and try it again.....INSTANT SMILES and they are hoopin' again!
I know...i have become obsessed with hula hoops! Try one for yourself.. you may find the same thing happening to you!
